Middleton Place House

Middleton Place House is listed as a National Historic Landmark and was built by Henry Middleton, President of the First Continental Congress in the 1700s. Middleton Place Gardens are a rare surviving example of a formal 18th-century garden and the house still features authentic antiques, furnishings, art and silver.
